The newly-created Social Impact Alliance (SIA) combines the forces of SEA Change, GiveBackHack, The Urban Business Development Center (The U) and other community partners with the goal of creating a more holistic, cohesive and equitable support system for social impact entrepreneurs in Central Ohio.

Supporting for- and non-profit entities that incorporate a measurable social impact into their business models like buy-one, give-one or hiring individuals with barriers to employment, the SIA aims to provide programming, physical space and funding.

The space piece of the equation is coming together with a pilot location at 1289 Grandview Ave. In addition to housing the organizations of the SIA, “Our new space will serve as “one front door” for social impact activities, events, and workshops,” organizers share. “It will also be a place where members of our community can come together to collaborate, share ideas, and support each other.”

In addition to fostering further collaboration, the SIA hopes to learn more about how to better serve the ecosystem through the new space.

The SIA will host an open house at their new location tomorrow, Thursday, May 25 from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The organization is also asking for donations to help finish out the new space.
