    SoHud Super Show This Sunday

One of the best parts about Labor Day is having the freedom to enjoy a late Sunday evening out. This year there’s a new way to live up your extra non-school night. The SoHud Music Collective will host its second Super Show on Sunday night at Ruby Tuesday starting at 8:00 p.m.

The beach-themed Super Show will feature Jahman Brahman, Burglar, the Floorwalkers, the Max Power Trio, and the Andy Shaw Band. Tacos and corn on the cob will be available. All proceeds will benefit the Collective, which was founded in May by the Floorwalkers, Max Power Trio, and Andy Shaw Band to benefit its members by funding promotional materials and outreach programs.

“SoHud” refers to the area south of Hudson and north of campus where several artists and musicians live. Jesse Barr, member of the Collective and frontman of the Max Power Trio, loves his SoHud neighborhood. “We have great clubs and recording studios,” he said. “It’s very bohemian.” He fervently believes in the communal framework that he and the other SoHud Music Collective members are building. “We formed the Collective to do away with competition between bands and work together toward building a scene,” he said. He hopes that more Columbus bands both inside and outside of SoHud will consider joining it. The Collective plans to host one Super Show a quarter.

Admission to the SoHud Super Show costs $6 and those 18 years of age and older are welcome. For more information, visit sohudmusic.org.
