Press Release:
Hello Friends of the Clintonville Farmers’ Market. Today nearly looks like a summer market day. And the earth smells good.
In just 2 weeks, the Clintonville Farmers’ Market holds its 2nd annual pre-season “Spring Sprout” market, Saturday morning, May 2 at 9:00 a.m. Over 25 producers will sell starts for vegetables and flowers for your own gardens and early spring produce, cheese, and baked goods to eat up right away. The special market will be at the regular Clintonville Farmers’ Market location on N. High St. between Orchard Lane and W. Dunedin Roads.
The Spring Sprout Market also serves as Volunteer Orientation for the market’s “farmer assistants.” If you’re interested, come to the market tent at 10:00 a.m.
The regular season begins May 23 and will be the largest one yet, with 40 spots filled for each Saturday through October 31.
The purpose of the Clintonville Farmers’ Market is to promote locally grown produce and engage the Clintonville community in a sustainable food system.
