From The Dispatch:
Ill Ohioans might benefit from retired docs, nurses
By Suzanne HoholikA state legislator says Ohio doctors and nurses are too valuable to lose to retirement and wants to create a program in which they could volunteer care to those who can’t afford it. Rep. John Patrick Carney, a Democrat from Columbus who started his first term last Monday, said his volunteer program could help catch medical problems early and reduce overall health-care costs.
“I would love to gauge what amount of interest there is in a certain population of nurses and doctors who are retired in our local community,” he said.
