Pitch event SunDown RunDown is teaming up with Innovate New Albany to offer the entrepreneurs of Central Ohio another coworking space with The Suite at 8000 Walton Parkway in New Albany. The building is an entrepreneurial hub, also housing Innovate’s business incubator, Inc@8000.
It’s another step in strengthening the partnership and mission of both organizations.
“The Suite is helping SunDown and New Albany further our joint goals to create long-lasting and sustainable economic development for the area,” says SunDown RunDown Founder Paul Proffitt.
New Albany Community Development Director Jennifer Chrysler says, “The Suite is a great compliment to our Innovate New Albany program. Our goal is to provide unique opportunities for success to start-up companies and entrepreneurs. Our community is built on collaboration and this project is just the latest example of that.”
Thirteen shared desks are available in the 1,100 square-foot space. Rates are affordable and flexible with both hourly and monthly rates. Hourly ranges from $10/hour for one to two hours, to $6/hour for seven to eight hours. Monthly rates range from $40 for four hours/week to $170 for 40 hours/week.
“We invested in a system that allows for maximum flexibility for our coworking members,” Proffitt says. “Sometimes you just need that third space that isn’t a coffee shop to actually get work done, have a meeting or be able to hold a conference call. We want our members to have a clean and professional office environment where they can get things done and keep their business idea moving forward.”
The space features traditional coworking amenities like WiFi (from a hotspot connected to New Albany’s high-speed fiber network), printing, access to conference spaces, and a plus that’s sometimes overlooked – free parking. But, no coworking space is complete without it’s supply of caffeine which will be provided by Columbus-based small businesses Roosevelt Coffee House and Sweet SimpliciTeas.
The Suite had a soft launch yesterday and will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
