    The Beck Tavern – Alive Review

    =As the sun escapes from German Village, birds can be heard chirping from the narrow, empty streets around Beck Tavern. Skinny trees burst into hues of green above the boxy brick drinkery and the nearby color-coordinated homes.

    “You don’t find it by accident, that’s for sure,” said bartender Doug Sauer.

    Bars don’t get much more neighborhoody than Beck Tavern, tucked away in the recesses of space and time. Stop by one afternoon and you’ll likely find a couple dozen locals engaged in what seems like one communal conversation.
