The Junto is a collaboration between local investment firm Rockbridge and Dallas-based hotel firm Makeready, which is being touted as the city’s first “independent lifestyle hotel” with 198 guest rooms.

“I am proud of the team we have built at Makeready to steward the vision of creating connective places and destinations that make a difference within the communities we join,” stated Rockbridge CEO and Makeready Founder Jimmy Merkel. “We consider it part of our job to understand the soul of the cities we build in and I couldn’t be more excited to bring The Junto to my hometown.”

As previously reported, The Junto will operate six individualized bar, restaurant and lounge spaces within the eight-story building, offering locals a new place to gather, in addition to hotel guests.

“This destination exemplifies the creativity, and the evolving growth Columbus is becoming known for while connecting people from all backgrounds to gather and become inspired,” said Christine Magrann, President and COO of Makeready. “We look forward to fostering a deep relationship between this great community and The Junto in May.”
