Art museums, performing arts venues, cinema houses and much, much more. Columbus has plenty of cultural centers to choose from and our readers decide upon their top 10 favorites every year in our annual readers poll.
In 2022, the Columbus Museum of Art was named number one in the Cultural Institutions category for the sixth time since polling began. For over 140 years the museum has served locals and visitors as a destination for viewing a robust collection of modern and contemporary artwork.
For the past 20 years, the Columbus Museum of Art has been helmed by Executive Director and CEO Nannette Maciejunes, who announced her retirement earlier this year. Her stewardship of the organization has kept the CMA high in the minds of arts patrons in Columbus, and a big reason CMA ranks so highly by our readers.
