We’ve got a wild variety of foodie updates for you this week! First off, CMH Gourmand attempts to tackle the Monolith Sandwich at Neighbors Deli (pictured above) but comes up short (he is human after all). By the way… remember when we all tried out the Dagwood Challenge at The Ohio Deli? Good times. In healthier news, Hounds in the Kitchen treks out to Mansfield for a fun day of apple picking at Apple Hill Orchard. There’s also an update at Hounds that features a behind the scenes peek at what goes on in the culinary kitchen at Columbus State. Street Eats provides a first look at the new Spinelli’s Deli Mobile Sammies food cart. Nothing Better To Do has a review of last weekend’s Food Truck Festival, which people are still buzzing about. EatFoodYum has a quick photo-post about La Chatelaine french bistro. And last but not least, our in-house CU restaurant reviewer Morgan Kelley visits Basil Thai in the Short North for dinner.

What sort of food-related ventures are YOU up to this week?
