    Mascots

Christopher Guest fans, rejoice… the director is back with a new improv mockumentary called Masots. As expected, the film chronicles the lives of those who perform as sports mascots, with a strong cast that includes Jane Lynch, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, Ed Begley, Jr., Zach Woods, Bob Balaban, Jennifer Coolidge, John Michael Higgins and of course, Christopher Guest himself. Arrives on Netflix on October 13th.

    Shut In

Naomi Watts stars along with Jonathan from Stranger Things in a new psychological thriller called Shut In, which is about a child psychologist who tries to help a kid until things get dark. Arrives in theaters on November 11th.

    ARQ

New sci-fi film ARQ might feel familiar to anyone who’s watched Edge of Tomorrow and/or Groundhogs Day. A couple is stuck in a time loop every day and much figure out how to escape it. ARQ streams on Netflix on September 16th.

    The Bunker

While it may look like a film, The Bunker is actually a live-action video game in the choose-your-own-adventure mold. The concept of a live-action game is not a new one, being resurrected from a trend in the 90s in early CD-ROM gaming, but we’ll see if the fad can be resurrected in a thoughtful manner. It will arrive sometime this month on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

    Dogos

Fans of classic space Shoot Em Ups (“shmups”) will get excited about Dogos — a modern take on the classic genre. The new game from Opqam arrives on September 6th for PS4, Xbox One and Steam.

    Chroma Squad

Do you like the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers? Do you like Tactical Turn Based RPGs? Do you like retro pixel-art video game design? Then put them all together and you’ve got Chroma Squad, a new game coming in early 2017 for PS4, PS Vita, Xbox One and Steam.

    Shadow Warrior 2

Since the DOOM reboot went so well, another 90s-era FPS IP is getting dug up for another sequel: Shadow Warrior. This latest installment features an emphasis on co-op play with a non-linear world open for your hacking and slashing pleasure. Arrives on Windows PCs in October with an Early 2017 release planned for PS4 and Xbox One.
