The initiative will address various current issues that will shape the future of urban development, including alternative energy resources, building technology, and environmental sustainability.

The first discussion topic posted to the ULI Columbus 2050 Blog is titled “Metro Metrics: Urban Competitiveness Redefined” and focuses on the urban development that has occurred in Vancouver and what we can learn from that region. Additional topics will be posted monthly, and will be followed by a series of meetings and events with various national and local speakers.
