“While Columbus Underground covers a wide range of news topics, it has become well known as the premiere destination for urban development news in our city,” says Walker Evans, co-founder of CU. “The Urban Living Tour is one way that we extend that news coverage into an experience that anyone can take part in.”

The 2015 edition of the Urban Living Tour will include residential properties in various stages of development. Some are completed and contain fully furnished model units on display. Other stops on the tour are still under construction, and will feature raw, unfinished spaces.

Residential tour stops announced today include 250 High, Jeffrey Park, Harrison Park, Pullman Way at Grandview Yard, The View on Fifth, LC RiverSouth, The Fireproof Building, Flats on Vine, Flats II, Apartments at The Yard, The Keystone Building, The Atlas Building, Highpoint on Columbus Commons, Grant Park, Grant Commons, The Julian, two City of Columbus Land Bank properties, and development from The Lykens Companies.Ā Additional tour stops may be announced prior to the May 17th Tour event.

Lifestyle and restaurant businesses will be additional stops on the tour, offering introductory information, discounts, and specials during the event. Stops announced today include King Business Interiors, Fortner Fine Living, The Hills Market, Dr. James Ford, DDS, Glass Axis, Goodale Pro Hardware, andĀ Global Gifts. Additional lifestyle and restaurant stops may also be announced in the coming weeks.

ā€œI’ve always enjoyed going on open houses to see what different areas of Columbus offers,ā€ says Anne Evans, co-founder of CU. ā€œWeā€™re excited to have another Urban Living Tour to let people see a whole bunch of places all in one day.ā€

Attendees on the Urban Living Tour who check in at multiple locations during the tour and get their map/passport stamped will be eligible to enter a grand prize package worth over $1,000 at the end of the tour.

New to the tour in 2015 is an official after-party component, presented by Wagenbrenner Development. All ticket holders to the Urban Living Tour will be invited to end the day’s event at Jeffrey Park in Italian Village with local beer from Seventh Son, Hoof Hearted and Land Grant, live music and food trucks.

Tickets to the tour are $20 in advance, or $25 day-of at the check-in at King Business Interiors. Yay Bikes members can enjoy a $5 discount on tour tickets. 10% of all ticket sales will be donated to Faith Mission and their programs to help the homeless and others in need.
