Whether you choose not to drink for a night, a month, nine months or forever, your beverage options are expanding outside of pop and sparkling water.

CU sat down with Amanda Anderson from the Hills Market Downtown for a little zero-proof taste-test and discussion.

Spanning the drinks spectrum, low-to-no ABV drinks are trending across beer, wine and spirits. Anderson dishes on options like, Seedlip, a non-alcoholic distilled spirit, and Amaro Sodas, bubbly beverages inspired by classic Italian amaro cocktails.

For those looking for zero-proof drinks on a night out, local joints are starting to cater to the sober crowd. The SheCreature pop-up mixes a mean mocktail, while mainstreamers like Lincoln Social are also jumping on the trend.

Other drinks are trading alcohol for CBD. Will you feel relaxed after? We give Cincinnati’s Queen City Hemp seltzers a try and discuss the merits of its affects.

Ready for a “drink?” Anderson also discusses the Hills’ newest event – Zero Proof Happy Hour from 5 – 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of every month. Get ready for the inaugural edition on January 21!
