Columbus will get its first brick-and-mortar Wahlburgers location via the Hollywood Casino, 200 Georgesville Rd.
Penn National Gaming will be a franchisee of the casual bar and restaurant chain founded in 2011 by brothers Mark, Donnie and Chef Paul Wahlberg.
“As we have expanded our food and beverage offering, we continue to look for partners with exciting brands that people will want to come to our facility for the experience,” said Jason Birney, Vice President & General Manager for Hollywood Casino Columbus. “The proximity of Mark Wahlberg’s car dealerships and the obvious Hollywood connection make this brand the perfect complement for our facility.”
The Wahlberg-owned car dealership sits across Broad Street from the Casino and was the launching point of Columbus’ first taste of Wahlburgers via food truck.
Wahlburgers will offer Casino-goers a menu of starters like loaded tots, fried pickles and Buffalo Chicken Wahlbites, along with salads and a lineup of burgers including The Double Decker, BBQ Bacon, Fiesta and more. Shakes top things off in a variety of classic flavors.
The burger joint will replace Take 2 Grill. Wahlburgers is the latest in an influx of new eating options at the casino. Two Columbus-owned brands, Mikey’s Late Night Slice and the recently-opened Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace, have also taken up residence inside the facility.
Wahlburgers currently has 86 locations nationwide, including restaurants in Cincinnati and Cleveland. The Columbus location is expected to open during the early part of Q2 2022.
