World AIDS Day Today – A Reason to Dine

Today is World AIDS Day. Many communities are facing funding cuts to HIV/AIDS programs. Today is a day to raise awareness and also help raise funds by dining out at some of your favorite restaurants. The Columbus AIDS Task Force was established in 1984 to “lead the fight against HIV/AIDS through awareness, advocacy and care.” They hope to see the world free of HIV/AIDS. Last year, Lemongrass Fusion Bistro donated $1,000 to the cause. You can volunteer with CATF or follow the cause on Facebook. View the full list of participating restaurants here. You can also light a luminary to remember those lost or fighting HIV/AIDS. Bakery Gingham’s Short North location will have luminaries available tonight from 6-11pm for $5.
